Tomorrow, May 1, will kick of a month-long celebration of our senior athletes who play a spring sport. Each weekday will feature an interview with an EHS senior athlete. So be sure to “tune in” tomorrow to learn about and celebrate our 2020 seniors.

Martin Competes at State Finals

This weekend Jamil Martin fulfilled a lifetime goal: to compete at the State Track & Field Finals. Jamil competed in the AAA Boys Long Jump Finals, finishing 5th with a jump of 21 feet 9.5 inches. Track – Upper State Qualifier

Emerald Track & Field will travel to Seneca High School tomorrow to compete at the AAA Upper State Qualifier. Athletes had to finish in the top-4 at the Region Championships (April 24-25) to compete at the Qualifier. Athletes must finish in the top-4 at Upper State to compete at the AAA State Finals (May 10-11).

Alumni Spotlight : Abercrombies Continue Excellence On and Off Field

The name Abercromie is a recognized name around Emerald High School. Both Osharmar, class of 2013, and Zykeith, class of 2018, were known on and off the athletic field. They were hard working, respectful, and dedicated student athletes. Each of them have continued their excellence and dedication at different universities but still have the same goal;

Track – April 4 Home Meet

Emerald Track & Field hosted their final regular season meet last night at Frank Hill Stadium. They will travel to Ninety Six for the Lakelands Invitational (April 11). Then they will host the Region 3-AAA Championships on April 24-25. Event winners last night were: Akira Sanders – 400m Jo Beth Darby – 800m 4x800m Relay
