XC Opens Season @ Landrum

Emerald Cross Country began their regular season competition at Landrum on Tuesday. The boys team averaged 20:59 over the 5k course. This mark was 36 seconds faster than their first meet of 2016. XC Girls: Double Medals

The Girls’ XC team traveled to Southern Wesleyan University on October 8. Two of three girls who competed finished as medalists (top 10 individually). Rose Whitt finished 4th with a time of 22:32. Emerald Hosts Lakelands Invitational

Emerald, Greenwood, and Ninety-Six High Schools hosted the Lakelands Invitational at the Oasis Farm at Connie Maxwell Children’s Home this morning. XC Update: Lakelands Invite Tomorrow

Emerald Cross Country will host 18 schools and over 400 athletes tomorrow at the Lakelands Invitational. The race will be held at the Oasis Farm at Connie Maxwell Children’s home. The Emerald Girls Cross Country team opened their season yesterday at Palmetto. Due to injuries, only 3 athletes competed. Rose Whitt finished 5th (all PreReigon Team) with a time of 23:04. Kate Timms ran 34:03. Lauren Knierim completed her first 5k in 42:25.
