Vickery Shines in “Playoffs”

It is 8th-grader Zoe Vickery’s first season of cross country, but she does not race or perform like a rookie. XC Performs Well at County Meet

Emerald Cross Country hosted the Greenwood-Abbeville County Championships on Saturday at Connie Maxwell Children’s Home’s Oasis Farm. Dixie won the boys championship, while Ninety Six won the girls championship. Emerald XC Hosts Meet

Emerald XC hosted a meet yesterday afternoon with Dixie, Greenwood, Ninety Six, Pendleton, and Wren. Wren swept the boys and girls team competitions. XC Opens Season @ Landrum

Emerald Cross Country began their regular season competition at Landrum on Tuesday. The boys team averaged 20:59 over the 5k course. This mark was 36 seconds faster than their first meet of 2016. XC Girls: Double Medals

The Girls’ XC team traveled to Southern Wesleyan University on October 8. Two of three girls who competed finished as medalists (top 10 individually). Rose Whitt finished 4th with a time of 22:32. Emerald Hosts Lakelands Invitational

Emerald, Greenwood, and Ninety-Six High Schools hosted the Lakelands Invitational at the Oasis Farm at Connie Maxwell Children’s Home this morning. Emerald athletes had many season and life-time best performances (scroll to bottom for all Emerald results). Emerald’s boys finished 6th out of 15 schools. In the team competition, Palmetto won the girls’ event, while
