Emerald Vikings Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 4-2 loss to Belton-Honea Path on Friday. Belton-Honea Path scored on a fielder’s choice by Roper, a double by Abrams, and an error during Wilson’s at bat in the first inning.

Belton-Honea Path got on the board in the first inning. Roper hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring two runs.
Wooten took the win for Belton-Honea Path. He allowed seven hits and one run over four innings, striking out six and walking one. #20 threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Braeden Burton took the loss for Emerald Vikings Varsity. He went five innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out one.
Emerald Vikings Varsity totaled eight hits. Gage Timmerman, Chase Prochaska, and Brayden Ridge each collected multiple hits for Emerald Vikings Varsity. Timmerman led Emerald Vikings Varsity with three hits in three at bats.
