The EHS Clay Team traveled to Ohio last week to compete in the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) Nationals. This is the first year for the Clay team and to qualify for the tournament was a huge accomplishment! There were thousands of competitors and over 2 million targets were shot during the tournament. The boys competed for a week and won several awards. Competitions included American trap, Handicap trap, and Double trap as well as American skeet and Double skeet. During the sporting clay tournament they shot over 1400 clays each.

Several members of the EHS Clay Team won individual awards. Ben Kinney won an SCTP scholarship, and was named to both the all scholastic state team and the all state team for South Carolina. Hunter Weatherford was named to the all scholastic team as well as the all state team for South Carolina. Kaminer Cromer (not pictured) won an SCTP scholarship as well.

Congratulations EHS Clay Team!
